Busajo Campus | StudioBenaim

The project has been commissioned from Busajo Onlus, a nonprofit organization with social purposes based in Florence Italy. AeI progetti, an engineering firm based in Florence, was the structures consultant, while the general contractor has been a local company called “Tadesse Fikadu.” The Campus provides spaces for living, teaching, professional training, sports, and leisure activities.

Botha’s Halte Primary School | Meyer & Associates Architects

The project entailed the development of a new Primary School, replacing the dilapidated Botha’s Halte farm school, in the Breede River Valley, for the Bosjes Trust. Although a privately sponsored project, the school is operated by the Western Cape Education Department. The new buildings provide a state-of-the-art facility for 250 rural primary school learners from a predominantly farm worker community.

Denis Hurley Centre | Ruben Reddy Architects

Located in the vibrant city centre of Durban, South Africa, a few steps from Warwick Triangle and close to several liberation heritage sites such as the Juma Musjid (Mosque) the Denis Hurley Centre was conceived as a contemporary facility to uplift and serve the community – a welcoming refuge to all, regardless of background, faith or nationality.

Fass School and Teachers’ Residences | Toshiko Mori Architects

Situated in remote Senegal, the new Fass School and Teachers’ Residence is the first school in a region of over 110 villages to provide secular education alongside traditional Quranic teaching. A project completed in collaboration with the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation and Le Korsa, the school can serve up to 300 students from ages 5 through 10.

Women’s Opportunity Center | Sharon Davis Design

The Women’s Opportunity Center (WOC), designed in collaboration with Women for Women International, occupies a two-hectare site one hour from the Rwandan capital and has been developed with the following objectives in mind: to empower its community, create economic opportunity, and rebuild social infrastructure.
